£245m Allocated for Unsafe Building Repairs Left Unspent

According to a recent Freedom of Information request by researcher Jack Shaw, the UK government’s housing department has returned £245m in unspent funds designated for the remediation of unsafe buildings.
Industry leaders have been warned that drug and alcohol misuse in the construction sector is a “ticking timebomb” and the failure to address this issue may result in a severe accident.
